History and Mission
creation
Created over 20 years ago, the Cruise Club of Sète brings together local private and institutional stakeholders to promote Sète and its region to cruise companies.
Main Missions
- Increase the number of stopovers in Occitanie by promoting the destination Sète Archipel de Thau and its port to players in the cruise industry
- Provide cruise passengers and crew members with a quality welcome in the region (Cruise Friendly label)
- Develop a structured excursion offering specifically designed for cruise passengers
Sustainable Development
The Club plays a role in the responsible and thoughtful development of cruise activities and their greening (actions in favor of decarbonization, shore power connections for cruise ships, signatory of the Sustainable Cruise Charter in the Mediterranean, etc.).

The Club carries out promotional activities targeting cruise companies. It approaches cruise lines, especially during international events such as SEATRADE in Miami.
It develops a comprehensive range of essential services for the successful handling of stopovers: port services, passenger welcome onshore, shuttle provision, entertainment, and more.
It supports cruise companies in discovering the destination and port offerings by organizing a tailor-made program.
It actively participates in the MedCruise association, which brings together more than 150 cruise ports in the Mediterranean.
Actions Targeting Tour Operators
Promotion
The Cruise Club promotes the cruise offerings and the destination as a transit stopover to tour operators.
link
It acts as a link between tour operators and cruise companies to help organize shore excursions.
Tailored Offerings
The Club structures a destination offering tailored around exclusive and distinctive products.
B2B Meetings
The Club organizes targeted meetings between local tourism providers and tour operators (Sète Cruise Dating).

The Cruise Club coordinates local stakeholders (port agents, merchants, etc.), particularly by keeping them informed about the stopover schedule.
The Club plays a role in raising awareness among local stakeholders and the press about the issues facing the sector, particularly regarding local benefits and the implementation of collective actions.
The Club offers merchants the opportunity to be present to offer tastings and sell their products to cruise passengers as soon as they disembark. It promotes the Cruise Friendly label among merchants who commit to providing cruise passengers with a personalized and quality welcome.
